I ended my first year back at college three weeks ago. Let me just say ... it was a FANTASTIC experience! It felt a bit weird at first returning to the studio atmosphere, but I realized that's where I belonged.
The university I'm at has a very small art department, so it is extremely competitive getting into a particular concentration in art. I wanted to get into Viscom at first, but I realized how I had a strong passion for cartoons and the way were animated. With the push from my dad ... and mostly from the incredible influence on deviantART and tumblr, I decided to enter the Animation portfolio review (along with the Viscom, just incase) inorder for the art faculty to choose the most worthy students. My university only has 20 spots per-year for Animation students, being a fairly recent program. Thankfully, I was one of the 20 to be admitted into Animation!
I am literally excited to start my animation courses in the Fall. I don't know what to fully expect which will make it even more interesting ... like ... I feel I'm where I belong and yet, a fish out of water.
In other news, I've started my summer break. Got hired at an Amazon Fulfilment center and resigned just as quick ... good pay ... but the tasks were not for me. In the meantime I'm applying for other jobs to have something to do over the summer. With all the free time I have, I will try, oh will I try, to post more on deviantART C:
I feel like a stranger here <x'D
